Uzair F. Butt is an Oxford University graduate in Engineering Science. He completed his schooling from Lahore, Pakistan. He is a very senior member of the society having served the society in executive positions for over five years including as President, Vice President and Secretary before taking up the role of Senior Advisor. He acts as an advisor to the President in society affairs.

Vinod Motiani graduated earlier this year with an MSc in Clinical Embryology from Jesus College and currently lives in Oxford. He completed his schooling from Karachi, Pakistan. As the treasurer, he is responsible for keeping the accounts and overseeing any money transactions on behalf of the society.

Adnan Rafiq is a first year DPhil Candidate in Politics at St. Cross College. Before joining Oxford he did an MPhil from University of Cambridge, a Masters from University of Manchester and a BEng from University of Birmingham. He completed his schooling from Abbotabad, Pakistan. As the spokesperson, he is responsible for marketing and sponsorship of Oxford University Pakistan Society.

Marcel Fafchamps

Prof. Marcel Fafchamps

Prof. Marcel Fafchamps is a professor teaching macroeconomics in the Economics Department and Mansfield College. His research interests revolve around risk-coping strategies, market institutions, intrahousehold allocation, and the allocation of economic activity across space. As the senior member of the society, he represents and speaks for the Society in the public forum, and before the University Courts. Prof. Fafchamps has served as the Senior Member of the Society for over 11 years and shall be retiring from the post this year. The society is extremely grateful for his services to the Pakistani community in Oxford.

Marcel Fafchamps

Dr. Adeel Malik

Dr. Adeel Malik is a Research Fellow in Economics, Lecturer at the Islamic Centre in Development Economics and Department of International Development .  His core areas of research are: causes and consequences of economic fluctuations in developing countries, political economy of institutions and development, and the relationship between finance and development As the senior member of the society, he represents and speaks for the Society in the public forum, and before the Courts of the University and the University authorities. He has been appointed as the new Senior Member of the Society from Michealmas 2011 onwards.
