As President, his role is to coordinate the duties of other committee members to ensure that society runs smoothly and to represent the society on a national stage.

Prof. Marcel Fafchamps
Senior MemberProfessor of Development EconomicsMansfield CollegeProf. Marcel Fafchamps is a professor teaching macroeconomics in the Economics Department and Mansfield College. His research interests revolve around risk-coping strategies, market institutions, intrahousehold allocation, and the allocation of economic activity across space. As the senior member of the society, he represents and speaks for the Society in the public forum, and before the Courts of the University and the University authorities.
