Imran Zahid
President (HT and TT, 08)MedicineSt. Johns CollegeImran Zahid is a 3rd year medical student at St. Johns College. He was born and brought up in Manchester, UK but still holds strong links with his extended family back in Lahore, Pakistan. As President, his role is to coordinate the duties of other committee members to ensure that society runs smoothly and to represent the society on a national stage. He is also Captain of the society's Cricket Team.
Ahmed Bilal Hameed
Vice President, Acting President (MT, 08)M EngineeringSt. Edmund HallAhmed Bilal Hameed is a third year Engineering student at St. Edmund Hall after completing his schooling from Lahore, Pakistan. As the vice president of the society his duty is to assist the president in running the society.
Uzair Farooq Butt
Secretary, Acting Vice President (MT, 08)M EngineeringMagdalen CollegeUzair Farooq Butt is a third year studying Engineering at Magdalen College. He completed his schooling from Lahore, Pakistan. As secretary, he is a point of contact between the members and the committee, which usually takes the form of sending out e-mails containing information about the up-coming events to the members.

completing his schooling from Islamabad. As the IT Officer, his duty
is to maintain and upgrade the website, design posters and tickets for
the events and maintain an online record of the committee documents.
Schyan Zafar
TreasurerBA Mathematics & StatisticsSt. Peters CollegeSchyan is a third year undergraduate at St Peter's College after completing his schooling at Beaconhouse (Defence), Lahore. As the treasurer, he is responsible for keeping the accounts and overseeing any money transactions on behalf of the society.
Zahara Naz Sattar
Events Co-ordinator (HT and TT, 08)PGCE (Science)Kellogg CollegeZahara was born here in England but all her family originate from Faisalabad, Pakistan. Zahara is a science graduate who read for a BSc (Honors) degree in Industrial Pharmaceutical Science. She is currently reading for a PGCE in science specializing in chemistry. This is a year long course which will lead to qualified teacher status. Her joint role at events co-ordinator sees her fostering links with other societies as well as helping out the rest of the committee wherever possible.
Ayesha Malik
Events Co-ordinatorLawTrinity CollegeAyesha Malik is a third year Law student at Trinity College. She was born in Peshawar, lived in Abbotabad for about ten years and then moved to the U.K. As the events co-ordinator her duty is to make necessary arrangements for the society's events.
Kashif Saleem
Publicity Officer (HT and TT, 08)Research AssistantDepartment of Engineering SciencePrior to joining Department of Engineering Science at Oxford, Kashif was Research Fellow at UCL and Visiting Researcher at Imperial. He studied at GIK, Glasgow and London Business School and have close academic ties with Newcastle, UCL, LBS and Oxford. He is one the key persons for marketing and sponsorship of Oxford Pakistan Society.
Prof. Marcel Fafchamps
Senior MemberProfessor of Development EconomicsMansfield CollegeProf. Marcel Fafchamps is a professor teaching macroeconomics in the Economics Department and Mansfield College. His research interests revolve around risk-coping strategies, market institutions, intrahousehold allocation, and the allocation of economic activity across space. As the senior member of the society, he represents and speaks for the Society in the public forum, and before the Courts of the University and the University authorities.
